Kerin, Ben, Livi & Jed took the train to London...and the tube, and the bus, and a cab...

The snow was starting to melt into lovely sludge, but was still dusting the statues and buildings...adding to that feeling of 'Christmas' that pervades England at this time of year.

First stop was Big Ben, Parliament and Westminster Abbey, which we were unable to go inside as they were preparing for a carols evening tonight.  From there we walked past Trafalgar Square (very hard for me to walk past the Nat Gallery without going in!) and caught a bus to Hamley's in Regent Street... paradise for anyone under 10 and a nightmare for anyone older..

Today's exercise was a quick sprint through Victoria  Station to catch the train home. 

Back to London again tomorrow  then off to Paris on Tuesday.  The laptop will be staying home so this will be the 'last post' until our return from Paree...a bientot...
